| The Rudder family traces their ancestral roots back to Anglo Saxon origin, probably in or around West Flanders, Belgium. The Rudder surname can be found all over Europe as far east as Russia. As for our Rudder line it is believed that it made its first appearance in ancient medieval records in Cheshire, England. That from very early on the Rudder family not only held lands and estates in England but were also actively allied with other influential families. |
